HI, for my HyperCard-MIDI-DMX project, I need " carpet"  musical accompaniment, background music, and effects. To generate the sounds I have a JV1010 expander and Performer 2.7.2 sequencer on power pc  system 9(or, if necessary, Ableton Live on a laptop).  I have some basic musical knowledge ( a terrible bass player), but I'm not interested in composing music here, rather in “assembling” and I was thinking of MIDI bases to put together in a “garage band” style. Do you have any suggestions? Websites with MIDI tracks, ideas, etc.?

Thank you for your kind reply... I am taking a look at this site, but I am not sure if they are only audio/loop files or also MIDI files.

Someone also suggested downloading MIDI files of classical music and isolating certain parts, such as an arpeggio, an intro, or a string section, and “assembling” them in the sequencer.
Given the type of goal, pads and broad synths are probably best suited.
