What a sad sad news to receive.

I mean, to count his creations and work for the Mac...that's an incredibly long list. I know, most will probably pick MacPaint, but to me, his biggest creation has been Hypercard ... it was an amazing concept back in 1987, revolutionary and well-executed and if only Apple's marketing had been abler to promote and see its vision ....

Rest in Peace, Bill. And thank you for your incredile work.

HyperCard wasn’t just ahead of its time, it created a time that hadn’t existed yet. So many tools today owe their lineage to it. He really saw computing as something deeply human. Rest well, Bill.
