So I'm dredging the internet hard and coming up short on a lot of older Macintosh publications, manuals and so forth.

One thing on my mind right now is the manual for the Inter-Poll / InterPoll / Inter•Poll, it's a software program for scanning AppleTalk networks. While we have the disk on MG, we don't have the manual, and the manual could be interesting. There's some ads for that product on eBay but people want preposterous sums for what is basically obsolete, nearly useless software. I'm merely interested in it for archival purposes.

Shall we take a look at some other things?

This is a section out of a price listing for APDA stuff you could order. One thing I'm very interested in is the AppleTalk Phase 2 Protocol Specifications: there's only one offer to sell one of those, on VCF about 15 years ago. I'm convinced that the amount of actual copies of that book, or booklet, or pamphlet, or whatever it is, is in the single-digits for the entire world.

Is there a scan of it? No! What does it look like? We don't know! It was removed from the APDA listing after Inside AppleTalk, Second Edition was released. But I think someone just might have this kind of stuff buried away somewhere. Unfortunately the Mac world never really got the hardcore nerdery that is common in the Apple // world, they even have the whole ADPA Apple // library dumped somewhere.

So where do you come in? Well, if you have something up that lane, tell us about it. If you can properly scan it and image any floppies/CDs properly, we'd appreciate it. If not, I am happy to receive it, scan it, image it, and return it unharmed*. So far I've scanned a few books that are not anywhere on the internet, and they will be released with the next edition of the CMN Guide. But since it'll take me about another 3-6 months to finish it, I'm hoping we can get some more content in the meantime sorted out.

*: Most types of books are really annoying to scan, so stuff like the Switcher Construction Kit manual I've got now has crease marks on the back. Better than no scan at all.
