Edirol FA-66 OS9 compatbility
« on: October 17, 2022, 07:40:34 AM »

Hi everyone :)

I tried to find information about Edirol FA-66 compatibility with OS 9 in the entire forum but I could not found anything ...  is it only missing or is it simply not compatible ?

I tryied to check the user's manual and it speaks only about OS X ...  :-/

Does anyone knows please ?

Thank you !!

If I understand well ...  it is ASIO 2.0 compatible so if I have ASIO drivers installed on OS 9, it should work as is ?

firewire usually also need device drivers, just as USB.

where do you have the ASIO driver from? roland does not offer anything for OS9 for that thing.

otoh there are quite a few roland products where the OS9 download have vanished from all their websites.

Sorry for my stupid question.  :(

I was thinking that if it was ASIO compatible (as stated in its docs), that would mean compatible with generic ASIO drivers but there is no generic driver if I understand well, even with firewire.
What makes me thinking about generic ASIO drivers is the existence of ploytec drivers but these are usb only.

I will try to get a FA-101 instead ! :)

Thanks !
