Power Mac G4 Digital Audio Thinks Headphones are Connected
« on: December 12, 2019, 04:54:23 AM »

Ok, so I generally have my Power Mac G4 plugged into a pair of external speakers. I unplugged the speakers from the headphone jack and it still thinks something is connected. I checked in both OS 9 and OS X (10.4.11) and both operating systems report that something is connected to the headphone jack.

What is the issue? Dirty contacts on the jack? It certainly seems to be a hardware issue given that both OS versions report the same thing.

Well, the issue seems to have resolved itself. I have no idea why it occured, but at least it's fixed now. :P
