that is one good place.

since for us it is the original location, we should somehow have a backup, too, someday (i.e. we should not leave all that work to 2 persons only. the one folder one thing rule is essential here, so that 4-5 of us can easily download the folders with the text and pics directly from the ftp.)

*** UPDATE ****

A special thanks from myself and the entire Forum to Pixlgeek (who runs the US mirror for Macintosh Garden mirror.macintosharchive.org); he has setup a brand new area for our downloads !

Knez gets off the hook, since he is a busy man anyway.  I will be diving in and FTPing may ass off in the very near Future.

Finally we can say "so long" to Adrive and get the critical stuff over to our new location.

This is a total act of kindness from an exceptional person that actually has a mission statement to keep this rare stuff available to all

Hey that's great news! Pixlgeek for president!!! ;D

Good that this got solved either way. Just ask if you ever need a downloads mirror or anything else :)

OK, it's official...  I am moving files to our new download server.

Please PM me if you need something moved from Adrive due to a "File Busy" message and I will move what you need ASAP.

The process will take a while (maybe a few weeks), but I can prioritize needed files first :)

Congrats!
That new FTP looking based webserver is exponentially better than Adrive
yet obviously it's going to be "Herculanean" task transferring all archival data for new server

Perhaps we should all bow our heads for a moment of silence at the passing of A Drive
AND to also offer our thanks to DieHard, Knezzen, Pixlgeek (and a host of others)*
for the new download area home.

*But especially DieHard, for continuing to put up with us all AND for the arduous,
painstaking task of moof-ving all those files while trying to maintain some semblance
of (in)sanity throughout his daily existence here and on this very slippery-slope rock
that we call HOME.

Seems that MacOS9Lives! on and on and on… as it undoubtedly should.

Cheese? Somebody say, cheese? (I blame the quasi-cajun.) ???

PayPal those MacOS9Lives! sustaining donations to: [email protected]
or you could send $25.00 to A Drive... now, fer nuthin’. ;)

I named all my machines after the Herculoids - Gloop & Gleep are the two Mac Pluses, Tundro the G5, Zok the G3 server, Igoo the MDD, Tara the Mini G4 ...

Thanks, many of the Directory trees and organization was from MacTron's hard efforts, we will be moving additional "Vault" material to the public, now that more of the original publishers are out of business

OK, it's Official, Adrive is now a Memory... I will be terminating the OS9 Lives subscription by July 1st.  It is completely empty.

Downloading and re-uploading had been a daunting task, but 80% of our stuff in re-linked, tested, and the download speeds are faster than ever !

No more "file busy" errors :)

I will fix what is left on a basis of "need", so please open a Moderator report or PM me for each item needed; I am taking a break on the mass fixes and will do the rest a little at a time
