Is there really only one level of undo?

I save my project and add a number when I make an important edit/mix decision. I bounce both and compare later. In this workflow I have a session with a number associated with a bounce mix called the same.

In that way I can know if I am going backward mixing.

I can end with 60 mixes (and projects) or so.

Later with Quicktime I play both at the same time and choose between both to hear changes.  It is the only way to go forward in some hard to mix projects for me.

That is my workflow on 10.6 and PT 10, but the same can be done in any DAW in Mac OS 9.  And I think Quicktime on Mac OS 9 can do that "compare" thing too.

Just to confirm, there's only one level of undo in Vision, correct?

Yes. Just one.

There IS, however, an interesting caveat: The Copy command does not undo, so you can:

1) Select a section
2) Copy it
3) Undo the copy, restoring the section to its previous state
4) Pick another (or a new) track and Paste - which works because the piece you copied is still in the edit buffer

Now you have the "old" and the "new" versions side by side for comparison or whatever.
On a simpler level of this, after you select Undo it immediately changes to Redo to easily compare back and forth.
