QS Turns Itself On?
« on: October 06, 2016, 08:29:49 AM »

So what would cause a QS to turn itself on? A user on the DUC has a 'possessed' QS that turns on by itself which got me thinking... there has been a few times when I was surprised that my QS was running... Has anybody had this behavior??

There's an autostart setting in the Energy saver / Schedule prefs / control panel.

Check it.

I had the same issue in a Sawtooth. I have had to replace the power source and the motherboard. The issue was caused by the motherboard, IMHO.

I just had my Sawtooth turn itself on a few seconds after turning it off, repeatedly.

I had the USB hub in my Dell monitor plugged in, and this was the cause. I don't know about later Macs, but the Sawteeth can be switched on via USB in a way that I don't think is entirely standard, think the monito was doing something that confused the computer..

battery problems or faulyt RAM can also make it turn off, but it should not make it turn on again (except immediately after shutting down)

With a lot of Models it's a sign the PRAM battery is flat.
