Re: Mac OS Desktop Pictures and Desktop Patterns
I recall that there were at least 74 Desktop Patterns (used for Tiling) including those from System 7.x.x (like the blue cat one, or the stained glass one - see attached...), that are contained in Mac OS 8 and 9 - such as in "Additional Desktop Patterns" and other files - which I recall can be extracted via Thorsten Lemke GraphicConverter utility, as well via a couple other methods. The images range from 8 x 8, 16 x 16, 32 x 32, 64 x 64, to a few in 128 x 128, 256 x 64, 512 x 32.
Does anyone know the official names were for each Desktop Patterns file ?
When extracted and converted - depending on what program and method of extraction, they will have names like "Additional Desktop Patterns-1.pict", or "Additional Desktop Patterns-1.tif", or "Additional Desktop Patterns-1.png" "picture clipping 1", etc., so knowing what the official name for each is, and thus being able to rename each to it's official name would be useful...
