Pro Tools 6.4.1 does not require a TDM iLok. Both Pro Tools and all basic plugins will work. iLok is only needed for paid plugins such as Virus Indigo TDM. Moreover, even Pro Tools 6.4.1 for HD systems works without iLok on both Mac OS 9 and OS X. I repeat, iLok is only needed for purchased plug-ins. There is iLok Reset 2.7 which allows you to reset demo versions of plugins and use them again within 15 or 30 days.

All legacy versions from 2023.3.1 and older will be removed and will not be available from Avid. This also means that Avid's tech support staff will not have access to these legacy installers.

if Avid woudl have continued to host the legacy versions, they would be at risk of getting sued by Nexidia. It would be illegal for them to continue to host the installers.
