i hope he write me back and say yes but i have a feeling it will be a no.

Hope so. This would be a killer. I've been searching for it quite a while now. It's one of those mysteries.
Would be awesome if they would sell it or give it away.  ;D

Juno X2 is the most impressive sounding VST synth ever made for Mac Os 9... but is too limited.

it has really nice filters, but that probably has something to do with the filters originally not beeing by refx.

he seems to have "lended" them by a colleague and they ended up shouting at each other in the kvr forums. :P

are you satisfied with the envelope? i prefer to use gate plug-ins with it instead of the ADSR.

vanguard .. is not really better, but thats just an opinion.

I have just registered in reFX and asked them for the demo file. I submited a ticket. I think we should be asking them for the demo until it appears.

I don't use it, because is too limited.

I'm not lucky enough to have tested Vanguard.
Do you think that Vanguard is less limited? ie, it allow more variety of sounds?

more variety maybe, but not the sound of the blue monster baby. it is like, you know, microwave I and microwave II. another unnecessary upgrade, where you automatically go back to the original after 2 minutes, and you just cant explain why.

Hi there,

No I'm afraid that this isn't possible. The images that you've attached are over a decade old, and I've afraid that we don't offer such a version of Vanguard any longer.

If you would like to try the Vanguard demo for OSX, you can use the following download link to obtain this demo:

http://dl.refx.com/demos/OSX_Vanguard_Demo.dmg

Jessica

I am more interested in the OS9 version as my setup is Os9 based.

would you be a lamb and ask the old guy in the office is he had in a floppy?

I though reFX would have it in their archives

Hi again,

No, I'm afraid that this isn't possible. I'm afraid that we don't archive old versions of Vanguard from so long ago.

WOW

quadrasid, vanguard, + slayer

i told you.. they wont talk about mac os 9.. its too ancient to them, they think its not worth even talking about
as do most people who went to osx.. they think 9 was horrible + ancient history... not worth it..they think its valueless
maybe they purposely removed this file back then... to hide some failure?
