OK guys… this is very interesting…

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOGIC-for-PC-LOGIC-MULTITRACK-RECORDING-STUDIO-Rare-PC-version-/171370084592?pt=US_Pro_Audio_Multi_Track_Recorders&hash=item27e673f8f0
(of course this guy had to put a Logic Pro Screenshot on the auction like an idiot)

Saw this one on eBay and never heard of it… emagic Logic Hit Kit Version

OK this baby has some limitations…. but runs on multiple platforms and is based on Logic 6.1 and needs NO dongle !

Kind of like the "Pro Tools" free version of Logic

It has a limit of 8 track tracks, 8 Instrument Tracks, and not sure if there is a MIDI track limit, it includes Emagic's ESP Synth and EXSP1 Sampler!

More Info Here… http://www.macosxaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4900

Manuals and Guides are Here… http://www.dk.co.uk/static/cs/uk/11/features/hitkit/intro.html

I just realized Chris posted info about this a while back… guess it is avail. at the Garden…

VST support is disabled...
... but there something weird on this...
VST plugins seems to load but are not available.
I'm not a Logic Audio user now a days (there is a long time since my last work with Logic). May be the Logic Audio experts can explain this...

tbh i dont think the hit kit really deserves much attention...
other then to acknoweledge it exists.. not when we have the full versions of 4.81 + 5.x + 6.x

Yes... but this may be a "newer" dongle free version (based on 6); Isn't our peak version without a dongle 4.X ?
Also, this has a free sampler... think it deserves some basic testing with Sound font files since we have a huge library

i didnt consider that! i see what u mean, like logics version of "pro tools free" but not free only very cheap (im assuming it was sold + not given away) and based on a newer product (logic 6 platform)

yes highest version possible to run without dongle is 4.7 updated to 4.81 i beleive
