Spectrasonics Trilogy & Stylus Classic
« on: May 18, 2014, 01:36:19 AM »

HI,

Last night I've been working on a track with Omnisphere loaded....Spectrasonics has done a great job.
I am becoming more and more convinced that the company was ahead of its time. Omnisphere in a mix just sounds...well....awesome! Most plugins can't compete with my hardware synths but this one really does.

I am curious if the same goes for Trilogy & Stylus Classic. I haven't found those yet. Any suggestions or opinions?  ???

Greetz,
Arjen

Hi all,
I don't want to open a new topic on this, but:
Does anyone has a working trilogy rtas plugin for os9? I am using trilogy in Logic via ESB but I would be glad to use it directly as a RTAS Plugin in Protools 5.1.3 too.
Is trilogy working with RTAS also in OS9 or only in oSX?

Best, paule.

Original Stylus work in PT5LE in OS9. Also Atmosphere.

I guess is RTAS.

I am making a list of all VitualInstruments that work on RTAS OS9.

UPDATE: VST / MAS / RTAS on OS9 for the 3 Spectrasonic wonders.

Hi all,
thanks for the replys. But I found the solution: Trilogy, Stylus and Atmosphere IS working already as a RTAS instrument in Protools (OS9). Only the procedure of instantiating this plugin is different than in OS X. I expected to instantiate the RTAS plugins in an AUX track (like I do on OS X). BUT, in OS9 you have to instantiate the plugin in a normal AUDIO-Track. But this way all the RTAS 1.0 plugins of spectrasonics are running fine in OS9. Thanks for the help.

Best, paule.

Hi Protools5LEGuy,
thanks for checking out. Maybe it has something to do with TDM and LE. On TDM it is ONLY working with AudioTracks (on OS9). But I will check later if you are right.

Best,
paule.

There is something with AUX on TDM. I think you can't mix TDM and RTAS on same aux.

I am an LE user. I do not mix TDM with RTAS.

Ask Knezzen about limitations on AUX on TDM systems.

Hello,

On TDM systems, Mac OS9 and Mac OS X, RTAS plugins can't be used on auxes and masters tracks. On audio tracks, RTAS plugins must be used "Prior" to any TDM plugins in the signal chain.
