im remembering that article on using the digi 001 with logic 4.x and that u could use audiowerk cards (multiple)
in combination with the digi 001..
http://web.archive.org/web/20000229110634/http://www.emagic.de/english/news/digi001.htmlIf extra outputs are required, Logic Audio Platinum supports the simultaneous use of different audio hardware, allowing you to add up to 3 x Audiowerk8 audio cards, thus providing 24 extra individual outputs.
why 3? did they say 3 because g4s have 4 pci slots.. and -1 required by the 001 = 3? or is there a real limit of 3 actual audiowerk cards ie: driver limitation? heres my old thread:
http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php?topic=1740.0 my question is..
is this specific only to the audiowerk card? doesnt this card use EASI drivers?
would another card be able to do the same thing or is this specific only to the audiowerk card?
can u enable any number of audio drivers in logic if u had 1 card using ASIO and 1 card using EASI drivers
and another card using.. i dunno.. what other type of driver is there
right. DIRECT IO (for digi 001)
can u have any number of these boxes checked, correspondign to any number of devices?
and logic will aggreggate them into one large interface.. ?
(yes yes we know
mac os x has this ability built into its core audio but we arent talking osx)
im hoping someone can confirm this for me, because it seems to be a powerful trick up emagics sleeve
and instantly makes sense out of the hype that began about logic back then and continues even to today
i mean they even have 2 tabs just for audio drivers settings:D
forgive the pc windows screenshot couldnt find a mac one lol
PC AV, WAVE PLAYER, VS, AUDIOWERK, DIRECT I/O, DS2416, ASIO
