(still testing) - Does anybody know which chip is used in there? - Was there a Mac OS X driver working with it?

It works with a Cypress chipset.
There is a MacOS X driver which was never officially released.
Below are the drivers for Mac OS 8.5 to 9.2.2 and the alpha preview for Mac OS X (10.3/10.4)
