Porting SDL 2 to Mac OS 9

User lauland on M9L's sister page System 7 Today has undertaken the project to port SDL 2 to Mac OS 9. He aims to make the journey as transparent as possible to learning / documenting purposes and hopes that other developers will join in. Progress can be seen in the respective forum thread.

Regular users are also invited to help by finding good candidates for ports. We're crossing fingers - SDL2 on MacOS 9 would open up a lot of new possibilites, including things like an up-to-date ScummVM.

Angry Robots has been released

Looking for a fun new game for your Mac OS 9 machine? Peter Nightingale just informed us that he has released his Angry Robots! puzzle game in time for this year's holiday season. It's shareware, so you get to test it extensively before shelling out any money. The game is ready for download at the official website (Classilla compatible). Grab your favorite drink and enjoy a new 2024 game on Mac OS!

Angry Robots is nearing completion

We've got an update from Peter Nightingale, who is working hard to finish his new Mac game Angry Robots. The game is an homage to the 1980’s / early 90's tile-based puzzle games and will run on anything Mac Plus and up (including PowerPC Mac OS 9 machines!). According to Peter, he’s only got two more levels to design - so let’s cross fingers we might get something new to play during this year's holiday season!

Angry Robots will be released both as a shareware download and as a limited boxed release. Screenshots and a demoversion of Angry Robots can be found over at the official website (Classilla compatible).
