Thank you very much for the extremely informative information and also for generously sharing your knowledge.

Armed with your heads up information iplan to use a external firewired hard drive dedicated to "pure" OS 9.  Which should get me out of opening up into "Classic" mode which inow get in using OS 10.4/9 in my PowerPC iMac G3.

So as one guy once said, i'll be back asking for more help please.

You can put a hard drive on the place of the zip unit, under the cd. Put jumper in same position than CD (normally cable select)
