mac os 9 & ceviche live(s) !

i'm back to square zero
with another nice vintage, snow white iBook G4 this time, the 1.42 GHz PPC 14 inch

& booting with the burned CD (MacOS9Lives for unsupported hardware) like it used to work
for the here above mentioned PowerBook, did surprisingly NOT work :-/

so i'm waiting for a also surprisingly cheap new oem adapter i got for 20 bucks
since the snow didn't come with one, ...

I need two of them because i want to Target Mode my snow as FW external with my PowerBook

meanwhile tried all sorts of 'bless' voodoo & other stuff suggested here by the forum & youtube & what not, but niente : ) diskette with question mark all over the place ...

(even the fw external that works as boot mac os 9 for my powerbook, neither does work :-/ )

also i injected the two files for the PowerBook6,7 ... ati graphics 9550 & adapted Mac OS ROM
as seen in this forum ...

I have to say something remarkable with my snow is that when installing os x 10.4, colors are totally wish washed, no real resolution, very darkish ( as if it was on the inverted colors) also trackpad did not work ... kind of difficult to install, but as soon as you do the combo update to 10.4.11, resolution gets more or less normal, & then you can invert the colors in system preferences , & then eventually things seem normal, but still kinda dark, ... i think besides of the drivers absent in the os x 10.4 install & corrected in combo update 10.4.11 , there might be something with the gpu & or the infamous

i guess i have to go inside the little snow, but i'm post-poning that until mac os 9 has  been installed, if it can be done ... because i hear it's a drag & a lot of screws to unscrew ... also the reason why i didn't want to take out the hdd & put it in the fw external to try to have more chance in installing mac os 9 on the little snow !

found a 'solution' to the too dark screen , there is an option in accessability called contrast

I might be needing to go into hotline upload dropbox of knezzen as seen on the protools for mac os X 10.4 topic, to download pro tools LE 7 which is for os x 10.4.11 PPC
for on my powerbook G4 1.25Ghz

but i can't seem to login as my forumname & pasword don't let me in ...
is there something special i must do ?

i use nostalgia & i can log in anonymously, but then i cannot enter the upload area, as it is forbidden
