VI for Protools via Direct Connect

I have searched and find that Direct Connect tecnologies was something before rewire to run VI

Anyone had tried with direct connect 128? When I use it the G4 seems a beige G3 or slower machine. With slows redraws of screen, etc
Using direct connect "512" the computer is responsive again
