OS 9 on the original iBook G4, perfectly works?

I have a iBook G4 12" 1.2GHz (Late 2004) and it boots Mac OS 9.2.2 with the hacked ROM. But it does not work perfectly. Apple CPU Plugin has to be removed because of the 7447a cpu, resulting in sleep not working. Brightness control is reversed too.
The original iBook G4 models have a 7455 cpu and is native supported, much better than that on later models. Has anyone tried that? Do those models work perfectly with OS 9?

Can you link me to the rom you are using? I have the same system and my backlight controls do not work at all.  Thanks in advance!
