Help! Resetting OS9.2.2 password without cd

I needed help. Mine is a 9.2 2 and install was from the 9.2.2 universal cd. If I remember, it was a drag and drop. Can I be able to reset my password? I have tinkered with the multi-user preference and shutdown, now unfortunately, I am locked by a password which I can't recall making.

I will appreciate any help which will come my way.

No real security in OS 9; boot without extensions, then turn off or delete Multi user control panel, trash preferences; Think I used to do that by booting to an external... but should work on the same drive
