this is frm osx days but can serve a bit of background info for the different approaches for the different standards in sampling world
HALION
Copy The Entire Loopmasters sample pack folder to your hard drive ensuring that all folder structure remains intact.
When Loading Halion Patches you may need to locate the samples.
This is simply done by double clicking the fxp file (Halion Patch)
within the Halion Browser window, and when prompted click on the automatic or manual search button, then locate the Root folder of the pack or CD you have purchased Halion will then find the samples for the patch.
It is advisable to then resave the patch so you will not have to repeat this procedure.
EXS24
Copy the instrument files (*.exs) to your “Sampler Instruments” folder for Logic.
This folder is located:
...username/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments
Copy the sample pack folder to ...username/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Files
The next time you Load EXS24 the patches will be seen in the EXS24 browser window.
For logic 9+users
Copy the sample pack folder to your “Sampler Instruments” folder for Logic.
This folder is located:
...username/Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments
NN-XT
Copy The Entire Loopmasters sample pack folder to your hard drive ensuring that all folder structure remains intact.
Click on the load patch tab on the NNXT instrument and use Reason’s Browser to locate the NNXT folder within the Sample Pack and load desired patch.
KONTAKT
Copy The Entire Loopmasters sample pack folder to your hard drive ensuring that all folder structure remains intact.
Use Kontakt’s Browser to locate the KONTAKT folder within the Sample Pack and load desired patch.
REASON 4 REFILL
Copy the Loopmasters .rfl file, to the Reason installation folder on your hard drive.
Use Reason’s Browser to load instruments or effects from the Loopmasters refill.
ABLETON LIVE 7+ PACK
Copy the .alp file to your desktop.
Double click the file and live will boot up and ask where you would like to install the project folder.
If you wish to use any instrument presets that are contained in the sample pack in other projects, then use Live’s Browser to locate the project folder, right click over it and select MANAGE PROJECT.
Then on the right hand side of the screen select EXPORT. The presets and sounds should now be located in your Ableton Library.
NOTE: If you’re using Ableton Live Intro versions you may need to delete the .asd files in the folders as Live Intro does not support complex pro warping which we use to warp the files.
