oh right, SSDs usually dont have that because they dont need it – in opposite to HDs.

when you tell him to search for discussions this reminds me that we really should start a nicely arranged FAQ thread with all our current "knowlegde".

most hard drives do not have the ability to jumper to sata150 only operation
this was only offerent on drives from certain manufacturers for a certain time period..
roughtly 2005-2008 i think

if u buy a new drive now.. there is very little chance it will offer the ability to be jumpered to sata150 speed constraint

i think this was only offered on SATA300 (sata2 spec) harddrives
.. now that SATA600 (sata3 spec) is the norm.. they dont bother to worry about adding the sata150 (sata1 spec) jumper
