Title: Intel OS9
Post by: YetAnotherOS9User on February 19, 2022, 12:14:53 AM
Hello folks,
I managed to run OS9.0.4 on a Intel PC. Seriously. But with some caviots.
1. It is running on the common emulator called SheepShaver.
2. There is Classila pre-installed.
I will hopefully make it bare metal soon using Linux.
See you.

Welcome to the forums!

Yeah, lots of people try out sheepshaver and other emulators for a "free kick of nostalgia" :-)

Then usually they leave us again (you won't, will you? :-) ) OR they shell out the bucks for a used original Mac Mini or G4 Power Mac and really start into OS9 :-)

Because emulation may be nice to poke around a bit, but (at least to me) it doesn't feel authentic.

So play around a bit more, ask your questions, read up on the forums and then get yourself a nice Mac Mini G4 ;-)
