Was there posted here at one time a file that implemented OS 9 booting on the MDD FW800? I know the downloads are not available at present, but thought that there might be something mirrored at MacintoshGarden or another forum.

On your MacintoshGarden link page the text description says
Compatibility
Architecture: PPC PPC (Carbonized)
Boots PowerMac G4 MDD (FireWire 400 models only);
I was asking about FW800...will this actually work for both FW400 AND FW800?

That's what I get for trying to be extra helpful… the wrong link

You know, all I did was type "FW800" into the MacGarden search box. You should try it.

Thanks, Gary. I'll check it out. Sometimes the obvious eludes me. :(
