Title: is Kontakt 3 Library compatible with Kontakt 1.53?

i just realized i have this on my firewire drive..

i see the files are all .aif or .wav
is this right? or is this a bad rip?
shouldnt it be .nki ? or .nks? or something?

Kontakt 3 libraries usually aren't compatible with kontakt 3. AFAIK
