Making a screen saver for Mac OS 9
« on: Today at 06:52:17 PM »

Hello folks...

Is there a way I could take, say, an After Effects-created animation and turn it into a screen saver? Here’s specifically what I’m trying to do....

I’m using Illustrator v8 in OS 9 to create more than a dozen of Star Trek’s (the original series) bridge computer displays. I want to bring all of the layers into AE once the AI files are completed, and animate their appearance, disappearance or movement.

From those rendered animations, is there a way to program or perhaps run through some software floating around out there to convert that animation into a screen saver file?

I realize I could probably just keep it as a QT movie to play, but I’m not sure that the files I create will easily play as movie files by a 200MHz or 300MHz G3 CPU (never mind an 16MHz 030 CPU running OS 7.5!).

Thanks guys.
