    • FireWire Audiophile A/B switch now works correctly on first press.
    • Assigning individual mixer stereo pairs to the rotary controller now works properly.
    • MIDI timestamps are now considerably more accurate.
    • MIDI now arrives on the MIDI server's realtime I/O thread.
    • Reset button now resets all mixer routings and the digital source settings (sync source and port selection).
    • Global 'Dim' and 'Mute' buttons work again.
    • Startup item no longer creates an empty file (labeled “0” (zero)) at the root of the filesystem.
    • Improve hardware rotary control behavior.
    • Fix cases where device wouldn't be loaded at startup.
    23/06/2004Mac OS X — 1.2.41.2.4 InstallerMac OS X 10.2.8+; Mac OS X 10.3.2+ recommendedFireWire 1814 firmware update. Fixes:
    • Noise when changing external sample rate while direct monitoring the ADAT inputs.
    • Analog input panning problem.
    • External ADAT sync problem after internal sync.
    30/03/2005Mac OS X — 1.4.41.4.4 InstallerMac OS X 10.2.8; Mac OS X 10.3.7+
    • Added a workaround for linker problems that could cause Audio MIDI Setup and/or the MIDIServer to crash after a system update.
    • Added a workaround for Core Audio AC-3 problem that caused kernel panics with the FW Solo.
    25/04/2005Mac OS X — 1.51.5 InstallerMac OS X 10.2.8; Mac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4+New control panel features
    • Mini peak meter views.
    • Main window is now resizable.
The driver now provides default names for each channel via standard Core Audio properties:
    kAudioDevicePropertyChannelNameCFString - "Output S/PDIF 1"
    kAudioDevicePropertyChannelCategoryNameCFString - "S/PDIF"
    kAudioDevicePropertyChannelNumberNameCFString - "1"

    Ozonic-specific
    • In some cases, Ozonic MIDI wouldn't work unless audio was streaming. Fixed.
    FireWire 1814-specific
    • The first four analog aux send controls were not working. Fixed.
    • Switching between S/PDIF and ADAT could silence the input channels. Fixed.
    General fixes
    • Aux pan controls (on the output channel tab of the control panel) did not work. Fixed.
    • Set root ownership and permissions on the startup item.
    • Setting an input channel to “solo” will now mute non-solo SWReturn channels and vice versa.
    • In external sync mode, the driver exports only one sample rate (the external rate). This may prevent some retrograde applications from imploding when the sample rate is changed externally. Switching sample rates may also be slightly faster.
    01/06/2005Mac OS X — 1.5.11.5.1 InstallerMac OS X 10.2.8; Mac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4+
    • Fix: Some devices stopped working after the Mac was put to sleep.
    • Fix: Ozonic would cause a kernel panic when starting MIDI for the first time after sleep.
    • Fix: MIDI driver caused delay before sleep.
    22/07/2005Mac OS X — 1.5.31.5.3 InstallerMac OS X 10.2.8; Mac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4+
    • Support for new devices.
    • Fix: a FireWire bus reset would cause the 1814 to stop listening to input if external sync was enabled.
    21/10/2005Mac OS X — 1.6 Build 11741.6 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.2+
    • Support for new devices.
    • MIDI I/O speed and efficiency improvements.
    • Fix: the sample rate list is sometimes not repopulated when switching back to internal sync.
    • Fix: Improved FW1814 192 kHz input.
    07/04/2006Mac OS X — 1.7.11.7.1 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.5+; PowerPC or Intel
    • Fixed: AC-3 output didn't work on the FireWire 410.
    • Changed: FireWire Audiophile used to default to direct monitor all inputs through output 1/2; this did not match the behavior of other M-Audio FireWire devices.
    • Fixed: FireWire Audiophile should not automatically activate direct monitoring in standalone mode. This fix is implemented by an included automatic firmware upgrade.
    • Fixed: FireWire 410, Audiophile, and 1814 rotary controllers and pushbuttons wouldn't work unless the control panel is open.
03/05/2006Mac OS X — 1.7.21.7.2 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.5+; PowerPC or IntelFixed: FW410 could lose external sync when the FireWire bus was reset. FW1814 could lose audio altogether after a bus reset.
    18/09/2006Mac OS X — 1.7.41.7.4 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.5+; PowerPC or IntelAdded Mac Pro support.
    25/10/2006Mac OS X — 1.8.1v31.8.1v3 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.7+; PowerPC or Intel
    • Improved MIDI latency for all devices.
    • Bug fixes for all devices.
    16/11/2006Mac OS X — 1.8.11.8.1 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.7+; PowerPC or Intel
    • Improved MIDI latency for all devices.
    • Bug fixes for all devices.
    24/01/2007Mac OS X — 1.8.21.8.2 InstallerMac OS X 10.3.9; Mac OS X 10.4.8+; PowerPC or Intel
    • Mac Pro: Fix a potential issue where audio may stop if the machine is left running for a long time.
    • ProFire Lightbridge: Corrected the values reported for output audio latency.
    • FireWire Solo: Ensure that Apple’s FireWire driver doesn't attempt to drive the FireWire Solo while M-Audio’s driver is installed.
    • Installer package: Previous installs are now explicitly removed before the new version is installed.
    • Mac OS X 10.5: Added workaround for potential inability to load devices.
11/04/2008Mac OS X — 1.8.3v81.8.3v8 InstallerMac OS X 10.4.9+; PowerPC or IntelNew firmware with important update. For devices with external sync capability, the firmware and driver no longer attempt to automatically detect the external sync sample rate. Instead, the control panel allows you to directly set the sample rate. This improves reliability, speeds up sync lock acquisition—dramatically, for some devices—and guarantees the nominal sample rate won't change without your knowledge.

    Other driver/control panel changes:
    • Fixed audible distortion when you have multiple apps are streaming audio and you use the faders or toggle switches in the control panel.
    • Fixed long delay before the new volume would take effect when using the system volume control.
    • Fixed possible sporadic distortion during heavy I/O bus traffic.
    • Fixed some issues that could interfere with direct monitoring of input.
    • Improved control panel graphics.
    • Fixed the uninstaller to work on Mac OS X 10.5.
    • Improved device startup time on Mac OS X 10.5.
    16/06/2008Mac OS X — 1.8.4v31.8.4v3 InstallerMac OS X 10.4.11+; PowerPC or Intel
    • Fixed: ProjectMix I/O and FireWire 1814 would not stream audio after a FireWire bus reset.
    • Fixed: ProFire Lightbridge would not sync.
    04/11/2009Mac OS X — 1.9.31.9.3 InstallerMac OS X 10.4.11+; PowerPC or IntelAdded support for Mac OS X version 10.6.

14/12/2011Mac OS X — 1.10.51.10.5 InstallerMac OS X 10.4.11+; PowerPC or IntelFixed a problem that could cause a crash when changing the sample rate of the ProFire LightBridge or FireWire 1814 when Pro Tools is running.
    03/05/2014Mac OS X — 1.11.21.11.2 InstallerMac OS X 10.7.5+; Intel
