It looked kinda buggy and barebones in the video, but wouldn't it be cool to install it onto a fat, gray early-2000s laptop if it was fully fleshed out!

Yeah, very old news by now, but the key takeaway regarding that project is that it is not Mac OS whatsoever. It is just AI slop at its purest in trying to create a new OS, so it is very much literally not Mac OS.

I would like to see Mac OS reimplemented and reversed-engineered as much as the next Mac OS user does, but this project isn't it.

What annoys me is that it is most inappropriately titled "System7", leading to all this confusion. A real effort to put Mac OS on x86, on the other hand, as well as all other CPU architectures, would be interesting.
