Pro Tools LE v5.2.1 Authorization
« on: Yesterday at 02:31:34 AM »

I'm trying to launch Pro Tools LE 5.2.1 on my Mac G4. The interface is an Mbox1. I've initialized the G4. Pro Tools LE is asking for an authorization code. Isn't the Mbox1 a dongle? In any case, I'm at a loss for ideas and would appreciate any advice you can offer.

you got original Mbox 1 -> Mbox is the required hardware -> Mbox is not the full software dongle/not like an iLok ->Pro Tools still needs authorization code -> First launch asks for serial / auth code (came with Mbox package -> check booklet/CD Sleeve/registration card) = Initializing erased the previous authorization -> Pro Tools asks again

i have no LE except AMIII but maybe this helps: https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/pro-tools-le-511
damn free shipping in the US, i envy you guys: https://www.ebay.at/itm/277918854633

i do have two boxed iBooks G4 though waiting once i can find "complete" MBox Rev A and B boxes

Mbox & iBook - they are peak early 2000s design LOVE IT
doesnt look too shabby next to a TiBook as well, but a TiBook can hook up to a 4-Slot PCI Express to PCI Expansion System from Magma and run a Mix Cube Pro Tools TDM rig

Wow, didn't know about different generation MBOX1.... ! - Technically they're identical?
