Hi there!
« on: March 24, 2025, 01:57:57 AM »

Hi everyone - Alan here (I'm not good at thinking up usernames.)

What's brought me here is a series of events - firstly getting interested in revisiting some of my favourite Newton PDAs, followed by thinking about Localtalk, then from Mastodon, Globaltalk across the internet.

And that of course brought me (inevitably) to OS9. I don't have a lot of space, but I do have a spare G4 Mac Mini, so perhaps this is the route forward here...

Welcome aboard Alan.

As perhaps you can tell, I am even more adept at thinking up usernames.

Yet I still have a basic suggestion for your G4 Mac mini. Take its’ exhaust air temperature.

Using whatever you can, take this temperature from your cold-booted mini, after it has been running idle for ten minutes, and with only the desktop displayed on your monitor. Then report back please.

An example:

Odd request perhaps? Maybe.
But again, welcome. ;)

TRY the Original MacOS9Lives theme “Blu” / via your Profile --> Look and Layout settings.
