Asking for a good mounting tool
« on: February 17, 2025, 11:50:50 AM »

Hello experts. I got my Mac Mini 2005 1.25 GHz running now with the nice OS9 ROSS ISO from this site.
I wanna know wich mounting tool is the best for different mounting isos at the same time?
Big thanks forward

Nice one! My favourites are Virtual CD/DVD-ROM Utility, which is lightweight and mounts most images. Some releases of Virtual CD also come with an Auto-Typer utility which you can drag your ISOs onto to change their type/creator code and allows you to mount the ISO just by double clicking it. Toast 5 Titanium Is also great and will mount pretty much everything.

Hi, thank you for the fast response. And it is possible to mount more than one or two images? Would be great. Will test that tomorrow.

toast opens slower than small utils, but then mounts images very fast, so it seems perfect for this task.

Disk Copy 6.5b13 also mounts fine, although some images need certain TYPE / CREATOR codes for it to even attempt. Using it with the Auto-Typer utility @greystash mentioned works great for that!
