There were downloadable waves updates available already early on.
Waves cd 1 and 2 i only got foto images of sadly.

I also omitted one card from the 1996 list that i thought was 1997 only:
Just got a promo card (yes!) of a revision D that says 1996 of the
Emagic AudioWerk8 PCI!

PT is not everything. It's never too late to broaden the horizon

well i was mostly using cubase for its realtime effects and midi, but of course also with the AM.

apps like multirack or sounddesigner died with the AMII when te need for multichannel IOs came to studios (which is why i did not get it together with "OS9")

but i understand that the thread is lost to the usual self-centric OT, and this time i was involved.

p.s.:
btw. the ASIO driver (which he does not need) is on the steinberg FTP, as they made it and not digi.

AMII did not die, waves adapted their RT engine so AMII cards could be reused i.e: old IIfx with 4x AMII

Whats with the negativity. isn't it great when people are excited about old tech?
„lost to the usual self-centric OT“ What or who are you referring to?

got my 4th AM II card today, still ok price for 20. now i need to get a bluescsiv2 into my iici to create that waves recommended processing rig :D

"MultiRack - RealTime utility (1997)

The MultiRack system will bring new life to old hardware. An older Macintosh such as a Mac II or IIci with a card or two (or three), can be transformed into a true multi-channel effects processor for a fraction of the price of a dedicated unit - and with many times the functionality."

the only thing cooler is to discover this: anyone has this standlone version?

Auto-Tune is now stand-alone.

Auto-Tune will run with Real Time Processing on any Powermac using the new AudioStream application from Antares Audio Technologies. This version of Auto-Tune is exactly like the Pro Tools TDM and Steinberg VST versions, and works with any Sound Manager compatible I/O card. For $399.00, you can purchase the stand-alone version of Auto-Tune. This version can run on any Power PC, System 7 or better.

got a second korg 1212 for 15 eur (never used new in box) to make a sweet 1996 rig - anyone got a powermac 9500? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFIoWHaHFT4

anyway i read the korgs quality is way better than the AMIII.

found an ad for Cubase VST v3.5.0 (May, 1997) that added Multi I/O with the AM III and Korg 1212 I/O
