I've never tried the USB route. (Questionable?)
Have always burned CDs. ;)

Burned a CD. Performed the tests.

Quick Tests: passed

Extended Tests: passed

a new FW Drive and a new cable will surely help me build a neat vintage station. Bar this FW issue (a temp one I hope), that little Pismo rocks !!!

First battle won.

I received the LaCie FW external drive today. Formatted it to HFS+ with Disk Setup 1.9.2. Copied a system in it => hurray, it's bootable !!!

Next step, 3 or 4 partitions, I have to think about what I need/want exactly

Temp plan: 4 partitions

- Two "small" partitions to try and test different MacOS9 installs: the 9.0.4 I have on my MacOS9 App (Sheepshaver based), 9.2.2 with a MacOS9 lives .iso/.toast

- a big one for archives: backups of all the installed OS9, collection of CD-Roms from Macintosh Garden, software...

- another big one: pics, vids and comics

In a few days I'll be ready to post a little "Pismo Bliss" something on the forum.

Thanks to many users from this site who provided good advice and tips either here or on hotline.
