Rev A iMac Maintenance

Hello folks,
Just wondering if anyone knows how best to perpetuate the life of a 26yo machine? I recently changed the PRAM battery, but I'm also concerned about main hard drive and CPU health. Right now, everything seems okay. But, we all know that things can happen totally unexpectedly.
Thanks!

i try to have at least 2 spare units of macs i really like around. thats my solution when it comes to dead flybacks which are currently irreplaceable. recap everything including the psu with nonleaky caps.
IIO:
the most affected part is the PSU, followed by RAM and in some models the speaker.
everything else does not so easily break only from beeing older.
as for HDs and CD drives: just replace these things with something better, even if they are not broken.
using SATA adapters (the forum is full of info about this kind of stuff) you can use storage devices built in 2024 if you want.

Alright guys, thank you.
Re-capping is beyond my skill set, but certainly the other stuff sounds more doable.
And yeah, I've seen guys on YouTube actually adding SSDs to PowerMacs from the 90s. Amazing.
Thanks again!
