PT HD 5.3.1 uses what the Digi pdf calls TDM II

So far the chocolate and vanilla (on the CD) digirack plugins work no authorization.
and like 6-7 could run via tricky Update (if you have unmoleted originals) on a 15day Ilok ....pia... deal

THIS is NOT ENOUGH plugins to justify "for me" to move into HD in my studio.

I know nothing about ilok and TDMII all of my time has been with 5.1.3 and older.

I did use HD hardware with OS9 and PT 5.3.1. All plugins I had in 5.1.3 with MIX hardware worked as long as you kept bit/khz at the most 24bit/48khz.

maybe there is a trick...
or a setting... file that needs to be in place or missing.
this did not happen for me.

and has passed bench test PT HD with this combo.
So if you decide Mix vs HD the same hardware applies.

I have tested a secondary SATA card (post Digidesign cards ) in the Chassis on slot 11 / 12 / 13 and it works

should support additional Sample Cell cards but without direct internal DAW routing
aka you have to use the analog out of sample cell and come in thru an interface 192/96/888.882/1622

500 bucks for that chassis... this is the only reason why i still dont have one.

as a non protools user you can not justify buying an expansion for that price, because you can hardly use 4 cards of powercore or uad-2 before you run out of bandwith in practice.

I have never used UAD-2 before how is that...

Little research UAD-2 is PCI-E...

the amount of silly money people dare to demand for something that basically is scrap metal is silly. i got a nubus tdm expansion chassis and im looking for more cards but big but all this to run a few more instances of dverb cmon plain silly
if anyone has nubus digidesign cards or a chassis pm me everyone else get a fast m1
