Again… REMOVE the Multiprocessor Extension completely. If necessary, boot up another one of your many machines from their own OS and do it from there FIRST. The MP Extension is there ONLY for PPC machines with dual procs. It's a low–level firmware–like package that does NOT get disabled with the rest of the Extensions because it's not really an Extension as such and if it was to be  disabled at boot, the duals would not boot properly.

It doesn't bother any of the PPC single-proc machines but for some reason probably known only to a couple of guys who used to work for Sonnet 20 years ago, it DOES bang up against their install so it's got to go.

Now, you can't customize the OS9 Installer to not install it but if you're starting again from scratch anyway, AND you have that houseful of old Macs, you can:
* Run the Installer on your other QS or whatever, trash the MP Extension and then move the entire drive to the Sonnet QS.
Many OS9 installs have been done this way. My dual-boot 2x1.8Ghz Sonnet MDD was done this way. All you get from using the "official" installer is that it looks at the hardware it's going into and make a few choices as to what is installed AND activated: If you have an ATI video card, you get the ATI Extensions on and the nvidia's off and such. This was one of the Steve Jobs principles so they could say "Macintosh…It Just Works" BUT you can make those adjustments manually after the install.
