Audio MIDI Devices with OS 9.2.2Lowest possible Audio buffer latency settings

I,am currently using  Ableton /Reason/Logic with a built ib Audio
on iMac G3 and lowest lowest buffer settings are 512.

What are  your lowest achievable buffer settings and what Audio Interface and or MIDI interface setup combo  you use?

is it even possible to have a low latency reliably with no cracles  like in OSX audio ?
