Mac Mini G4 - OS 9 & 10.5 Compatible Touch Pannel - Does it Exist?
SabithaSuki:
So the title summarises my dilemma. I am looking for a 15' touch screen I can use with OS 9 and 10.5 for my Mac Mini G4 inside of a iMac G3 Case mod.
I want to know if such a thing exists, and how can it be done, or if I am better off biting the bullet and getting a generic 15 inch LCD for the mod instead.
I heard eLo had drivers for certain devices, but I can't find them anywhere out on the open web, so I'm already off to a rocky start.

Looks like oldest / earliest, available from eLo would be their Legacy | MultiTouch Driver for MacOS 10.6 thru 10.12.So maybe that’s a no-go. Sorry, no help.

So you’re trying to place a screen in / on an iMac G3 case (with a G4 Mac mini inside)?
Interesting idea. ;) Happy hunting.
All touch screens that I saw during a very limited, quick search, used newer connections like USB-C.
Jubadub:
IIRC there is a specific iMac G3 2nd party or 3rd party model which did precisely that, at least for OS 9. OS X 10.5 does not boot on G3s AFAIK, though, but 10.4 does.
I forgot their names and stuff, though. But it is a thing. And it is rare IIRC.
There was also a different vendor that did provide such an add-on. Again, I forgot where I saw it, but I think it was YouTube, or the Macintosh Garden. Or was it here?

Alas, Adam Rosen is no more (2019). And the Vintage Mac Museum itself was liquidated.
However, there may be some possibly related info on this page:

Yet another breadcrumb along the path? ;)

I'm using a G4 Mac Mini as a base.
G3 is just the housing. Either way Yeah I'm getting blanks here. I may consider going the raspberry pi or mini form factor approach as much as I feel it's a cop out, or just do a none touch screen model... temporarily.
