OK, that was the best video I have seen in many years...

This guy is a genius... I wonder if that is his business and what his day job is ?

Maybe he's just rich and has a shop to make his own toys  8)

Best Rebirth controller EVER!

Love it! Also reminds me the last telephone/controller we saw of a Yamaha SCSI from a member here.

We've come a full circle. It's about time manufacturers start building hardware again.

But, we need something new, something that will inspire people. 303/808/909 was long time ago.

I wonder if the next step will be hiding a Mac in the box, like a standalone Rebirth. That would be hilarious.

now that ableton live comes as hardware it would only be consequent to biuld a hardware based on MacOS9 as counter model.

for me this is currently the mac minis i use as synths or effects, but i am actually considering to buy a behringer PPG when it comes out and use as controller for the waldorf plug-in and/or my own wavetable engine.

am M1 mini easily fits in such an eclosure... the g4 mini, hm.

being the negative Nelly that I am, i would counter with the amount of time that went into this, he could have just gotten some of the Roland Boutique modules and ended up with something a lot more flexible than a single app with relatively little routing flexibility.

but that's not the point. This is pure nostalgia and I love it.

I would think something like that could be easily done with a OS9 Mac Mini modded with the work of the fine folks here would suit the bill quite nicely.
