I do have a RaSCSI device. One reason I bought it was the ability to save images on the Pi and then mount those images (e.g. CD-Rom images) on whatever Mac I connect it to via SCSI. Hence, serving as a kind of external HDD with bells and whistles.

I learned only later that it doesn't work with "regular" image files like .img or .dsk. When I tried to mount an image as e.g. a virtual CD-ROM, Mac OS will "see" something on the SCSI port, but nag about an unknown format in e.g. Lido and nothing ever shows up on the desktop.

Apparently, it uses its own format for floppy files (.hda) and hard disks (.hds)

I know there's a tool to create hda / hds images in modern incarnations of OSX, but does anyone know how to create these files on a PowerPC Mac, ideally from within OS 9.2?

Any other RaSCSI users out here who solved the problem of easy transfer between OS9 <-> RaSCSI on the Pi?

I am interested to buy RaSCSI, but I didn't find good place to buy it from Europe.

So if I have Raspberry Pi 2, I just buy this:

or do I need anything else?
