I have a G4 Quicksilver and need a GPU that has DVI. I'm interested in the official Apple ATI Radeon 9000 Pro 64MB (DVI / ADC).

I have Mac OS 9.2.2 installed from the Mac OS 9.2.2 Universal Installer (2013 MacOS9Lives edition) from https://www.macintoshrepository.org/126-mac-os-9-2-2-universal-installer-2013-macos9lives-edition-w-cpu-5-9-rom-10-2-1-for-unsupported-g4-like-fw800-mdd-emac-

If I install this GPU and reboot, will it "just work"? Or will I need to do anything special such as hunt for drivers, boot into safe mode, etc? I noticed that the Extensions folder has a bunch of ATI files, but I don't see one specifically for the 9000.

unless the monitor is actually DVI-D-only, something which i had yet to see, all you need is a 3 dollar adapter for your geforce.

but the 9000 Pro dual head AGP would be fully supported by their latest OS9 drivers. it is the one which was also present in some quicksilvers they sold.

the performance is almost identically to the GF MX 4 (quake, cinema4d, GL)
