yes, it was the 190 GB partition limit the culprit !
now works like a charm.
I had to reinstall almost everything that needed registration (cubase and a bunch of vst plug-ins).
I let you know the result of some 24/96 khz benchmark that I have in mind.
I hope the latency improvement will help a lot.
