Drummers!

(1/1)

Syntho:
The only thing I've got is an electronic kit that's mounted in a pretty ghetto way. Someday when I can afford it I'm going to buy some sort of Tama kit, maybe a used Starclassic, but maybe even an older Tama kit that isn't a Starclassic. I'm not really a drummer but it sure is fun playing them, and one day I hope to have a good Tama kit set up in a dedicated recording space. It'll be fun to learn about tuning and miking a kit up.

What are you guys using?

mrhappy:
I mostly use a mixed kit with various Gretch, Ludwig, Tama and Premier.  The studio that I usually record at has a nice Pearl kit so I'll use that when I'm there. Electronic kits can be a lot of fun too! Some Nashville types (that don't have a space to print real drums) like to record with electronics and replace with fake samples.

This past year a famous metal drummer was in recording (every beat/fill/phrase/ hit under the sun!) using an electronic kit... to eventually be sold/ used for programing fake drum parts.

Maybe you're actually on the cutting edge with your electronics Syntho!! ;D ;D
