Networking with the Opcode Studio 128x

The 128X can share a serial port with the Studio 4, Studio 64 XTC or anotherStudio 128X, with any Studio 128X OMS(Mac) Driver 1.1 or above. You can check the version of your 128X OMS driver bydoing the following:
Open the OMS Folder in your Mac’s System Folder.
Scroll down until you find the “Studio128X OMS Driver.”
Click once on the driver to highlight and select it.
Then click on the Finder Menu and pull down to “Get Info”
This opens a window describing the driver where the Version is displayed
PC Thru/Computer
•An additional PC serial device connects to the Studio 128X’s THRU port. Foryour computer to communicate with thethru device, set the front panel'sMIDI/THRU switch to “Thru.”
•The PC COMPUTER port connects to anIBM PC’s COM port with the provided serial cable.
•On IBM compatible PCs the Studio 128X will network only under Windows 98software. Windows 95 does not allow auser to configure more than 11 MIDIPorts without crashing. Windows 98 will correct this limitation. Opcode will have a revised PC driver for the 128X ready for the release of Windows 98 which will allow it to share a serial port with another 128X or the Studio 64 XTC.
