Anyone else using a G4 Cube?
« on: July 28, 2017, 01:03:34 PM »

Hi,

I'm currently having lots of fun fiddling about with a G4 Cube and I was wondering if anyone else on here is using one? So far my project has involved upgrading the RAM, graphics card, and a HDD to SSD conversion and all have gone quite well. The SSD was a real fiddle and it seems to stop the mac from waking from sleep (I think it is the problem anyway) but it has all been remarkably smooth and it is a lovely machine to use and admire. Does anyone else on here have any experience of these, I'd love to hear about it?

No, I don't have any experience with them. But I want one so damn bad! They are super designed machines.

I would love to use it to interface to my cluster of a dozen xserve g4's in the basement! It would be great for retro programming and as an interface to my other Linux/Unix boxes.

Why don't you post some pics and write ups of your modding experience with it?
