It would be nice to have an OS9 functioning 17" G4
here upstairs... instead of the trusty, high-mileage G3 iBook.

Just a quick note, anyone having trouble using ethernet on the A1013 PowerBook G4 1Ghz 17", you need to use a switch that lets you configure port negotiation manually. Set the port on your switch to either 10Mbps or 100Mbps and it will work.

There's something a bit wonky with the OS 9 ethernet driver and the port on this PowerBook negotiating 1Gbps. I imagine if you use a 100Mbps switch it would probably work with that too.
