MacTron:
I found myself a way of loading extra sound libraries in to Kompakt for mac Os 9.
Libraries from East−West, Zero-G etc... originally shiped for Mac Os X or Windows.
You have to legally own this libraryes. Because registration step is no needed :)
"Accidentally" I found a hole in the licensed process :) , thats not my fault.
Because my English isn't very good. I explain here the full process If someone is interested. As clear as I can.

DieHard:
I acquired 21 Original CDs of Kompact Libraries 6 months ago and have not been able to use any on them...  I can't even get V1.0 to load correctly.  I have installed V1.0... but I need a copy of the original sound libraries or a way to rename a different library... I get the following error when I click the plugin edit button after I load it in Cubase "could not open the file Kompaktlib_part1.nks"

First make sure that kompakt is correctly installed and registered.
If you don't have the serial number at hand, there is also a PC Keygen.
After this, if Kompakt does'nt find "Kompakt Lib_part1.nks" you have to tell him where the Kompakt Library folder is located. For this, press the options button in the main kompakt window, and in the lower part of the dialog box that appears you can set where the Kompakt Library folder is located (and Kompakt Lib_part1.nks must be inside).
You can find the whole thing here:

http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/native-instruments-kompakt-v10-vsti

Anywhay you always can make a empty file −even a empty SimpleTex file works- and rename it as "Kompakt Lib_part1.nks" and put it on  "Kompakt Library folder".

I hope I'd explained well, because my english isn't very good.
I'll gladly help you. If you need more help.

In to CD2 , CD3 and CD4 is where sample libraries are.
Although Kompakt can be installed and work without those CDs. The easy way is to find them, and use them on the installation.
