Soundbreaking/ PBS
« on: November 17, 2016, 08:02:57 PM »

Posted this in off-topic trash bin here today and have just watched another episode of this 8 episode series on PBS. Know some here will be interested (if not already watching)...

Of possible interest... stumbled onto a series currently being shown on PBS last night and thought I should share for those of us here interested in this type of thing. Of course, I'm now programming DVR to catch all the episodes.

Soundbreaking

Airs Weeknights at 10/9c

The eight-part series explores the art of music recording, and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the birth of brand new sounds. Featuring more than 160 original interviews with some of the most celebrated recording artists of all time, Soundbreaking explores the nexus of cutting-edge technology and human artistry that has created the soundtrack of our lives. Airs weekdays, November 14-23 10/9c. Here's a link, if you'd like to know more:

That does look very interesting!  Not a big TV watcher, and I rarely ever see any PBS except Antique Roadshow, maybe because they like to run it alot, but I might go looking for this.  EP 4: Going Electric looks particularly interesting.  I see Roger Waters in the preamble I think.

Also, I just have to say in reference to your signature,  "This Must Be the Place" is a pretty cool song!
