Which mac is the best for Cubase VST 5.1?

I know this is an old thread, but for the sake of completeness:
I've been using a Motu 896HD in connection with a Motu 828 and a PowerCore card with my Dual Digital Audio (2x533) for at least four years now and there has never been any problem. None whatsoever.
Maybe this just affects newer Dual machines...?

...and you have advanced dual processing mode in cubase/nuendo turned on?

Yes, I have -afro-
And I should mention, when I bought it back in 2001 I used Cubase 5.1 and the Motu 828 for almost 10 years without any troubles. Then I thought it was obsolete and put it back in its box....until I found this place here, put a new HD and an SSD in, deleted Panther and went all 9.2.2 - yeah 8)
Just thought it might be relevant to this thread.
